Where is the Borneo Half Marathon held?
Likas Stadium, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah is the primary race venue and start/finish area.
What time are the flag-offs?
Half Marathon (21 KM): first flag-off at ~4:30 AM.
11 KM Open: flag-off at ~5:30 AM.
Exact corrals and wave times will be confirmed in the official race programme before race week.
Is there a race programme and post-race activities?
Yes. The full programme (race village opening times, warm-up, prize giving and road re-openings) will be published on the website ahead of race day.
Registration Process & Entry Fees
How do I register?
Register via the official website’s Register page. Create or log in to your account, choose your category, complete the form and check out.
What are the registration phases and fees?
Fees vary by phase and category. Indicative tiers:
- Half Marathon (21 KM): RM120 · RM140 · RM160 (Early · Steady · Angry)
- 11 KM Open: RM100 · RM115 · RM130 (Early · Steady · Angry)
Final fees and dates appear on the registration portal during sign-up.
What payment methods are accepted?
Major credit/debit cards and selected online banking options.
Can I change my race category after registering?
Category changes are subject to approval and must be requested before registration closes. Additional fees may apply.
Cut-off Times & Finisher Entitlements
What are the cut-off times?
- Half Marathon: 3.5 hours (e.g., 4:30 AM start → 8:00 AM cut-off)
- 11 KM Open: 2 hours (e.g., 5:30 AM start → 7:30 AM cut-off)
Cut-offs are enforced for safety and road reopening schedules.
What do I receive when I finish?
- Half Marathon: Finisher medal and finisher tee for official finishers within the time limit.
- 11 KM Open: Finisher medal for official finishers within the time limit.
Prizes & Awards
Are there cash prizes?
Yes. Cash prizes are awarded to top finishers by category and gender. The prize list will be posted on the Marathon Info pages prior to race day.
Is there a prize-giving ceremony?
Yes. The prize ceremony is held on race day according to the programme schedule.
Sport Expo & Race Pack Collection
When and where do I collect my race pack?
Race pack collection is held during the Sport Expo on the dates announced on the website and social channels. Location and operating hours will be confirmed before race week.
What do I bring to collect my pack?
Bring your confirmation email/QR and a valid photo ID. For collection by a representative, an authorization note and a copy of your ID are required.
Can I collect on race day?
No. Race day collection is not available. Please plan to collect during the Sport Expo window.
What’s Included
What’s included with my registration?
Race bib with timing chip, event tee (as specified), access to water stations and on-course support, and finisher entitlements (if completed within the cut-off).

Do you offer refunds?
No refunds are available as stated in the event Terms & Conditions.
Can I transfer my bib to someone else?
Bib transfers are generally not allowed unless the organizer opens an official transfer window. Unofficial transfers will result in disqualification.
Age Requirements
What are the minimum ages?
- Half Marathon: 18+ on race day
- 11 KM: 13+ on race day
No maximum age limit. Age rules are strictly enforced.
Safety & Medical
What medical support is available?
On-course medical posts and ambulance support are stationed along the route and at the finish. If you feel unwell, stop and seek assistance immediately.
Are strollers, pets, headphones or bikes allowed?
For safety, no strollers, pets, bikes, skates or pacer bikes. Personal audio is discouraged; if used, keep volume low and remain aware of announcements.
Route, Hydration & Toilets
Where can I see the route map?
Route, elevation and aid stations will be posted on the Route Map page before race week.
How frequent are water stations and toilets?
Water stations and portable toilets are placed at regular intervals as marked on the route map. Some stations may also offer isotonic drinks.
Timing & Results
Is there chip timing?
Yes. Your race bib includes a timing chip. Do not fold or tamper with the bib to ensure accurate results.
Where can I see official results?
Official results will be available on the Results page. Any timing queries must be submitted within the stated appeal window.
